Partial Quotients

You'll be seeing your child working on Division this week using the Partial Quotients Algorithm.  I know this will be new to many (most) of you, and it's somewhat different than typical long division.  I know some students may know long division already, but I'm going to ask students to use this strategy when solving division problems, at least until I can see they are proficient at it.  Students are NOT expected to know traditional long division in 4th grade and I won't be teaching or demonstrating it in class.
